Mia Holman-Harris’ ongoing project “Frisson” explores the relationship between music, memory, people & place.

The title refers to the sensation of chills triggered by music, a response linked to the same areas of the brain that processes memory & emotion. This neurological connection forms the project’s foundation.

Mia is drawn to capture the connection between audiences & artists, the expressions, the energy, the shared experience of sound. This project brings those elements together in a more personal & intentional way, exploring what particular songs & genres mean to individuals & how music becomes intertwined with memories & place.
