Welcome Home Sexy is an invitation into the creative world beyond London-centrism and the digital disconnect that dominate the modern at world.
Originating from an infamous piece of graffiti that has been greeting people as they pull into Bradford Interchange for years. In 2007, the name was borrowed for a jazz club created by Matthew Geraghty and Rob Nichols in Westgate, Bradford.
A travelling exhibition event, venturing across cities to bring in local artists and DJS. Existing to bridge the gap between young photographers and exhibiting, giving them access and opportunity to position themselves as legitimate contenders in their industry. Here to reimagine and demystify what art and exhibiting spaces are, recreating them as warm, welcoming and fun places for meeting through merging art and nightlife culture. Welcome Home Sexy is an intimate space for exhibiting, flirting and dancing into the night.
A seemingly insignificant piece of writing sprayed decades ago across the distinctive Victorian brickwork of Yorkshire has yet again been repurposed, this time as an travelling exhibiting space hoping to carry forward the same spirit it originates from - playful, welcoming, and the exhibiting of art in unconventional places.
